Book marking Ho Chi Minh’s first time in Russia introduced

(VOVworld) – A book in Russian entitled “When the first Vietnamese enters the Kremlin” by author Vu Ky was introduced in Russia on Sunday to mark the 90th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s first time in Russia. The book is a compilation of the author’s records when he accompanied the president in his first official visit to Russia in 1955 and in other visits. The book was first published in Vietnamese in 1987 and it has been republished several times. The book was translated into Russian at the initiative of translator Evghenhy Pavlovic Glazunov, Honorary President of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association. He said: “When translating this book from the first to the last page, I was very surprised at President Ho Chi Minh’s desire for knowledge. He wanted to know about everything. I was surprised that he had traveled to many places and met with many people. I agreed with Vu Ky that he could not write down everything what he saw and heard about the President’s activities. When I translated a section called “the 16.200 km long vacation”, I was surprised with President’s health because during that period he and Vu Ky flew to 9-10 countries with a length of more than 16.000 km. Young people could hardly do that.”

The book helps young Russians to know more about President Ho Chi Minh and the age-old traditional friendship between the two countries.
