Boxer Ha Thi Linh wins Vietnam’s 11th ticket to Paris Olympics

(VOVWORLD) - Boxer Ha Thi Linh brought home an 11th ticket to the Olympics for Vietnamese sports by defeating Vilma Viitannen of Finland 4-1 in a play-off match in Bangkok on Sunday.

Linh secured the last ticket for the women's 60 kg weight division in the second qualifying round for the 2024 Paris Olympics behind Agnes Alexiusson of Sweden and Oh Yeonji of South Korea.

Vietnam’s first Olympic ticket in boxing was secured by Vo Thi Kim Anh in the 54kg division.

The other 9 Vietnamese athletes going to the Olympics are cyclist Nguyen Thi That, shooters Trinh Thu Vinh and Le Thi Mong Tuyen, swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang, weightlifter Trinh Van Vinh, badminton players Nguyen Thuy Linh and Le Duc Phat, canoeist Nguyen Thi Huong, and rower Pham Thi Hue.
