British man with COVID-19 treated successfully by Hue hospital

(VOVWORLD) - A 71-year-old British man, the 49th COVID-19 patient recorded in Vietnam, has been treated successfully the Hue Central Hospital, Thua Thien-Hue province announced on Tuesday.

The man traveled to Vietnam from London on March 2. He has been quarantined since March 8 and become the second patient treated successfully by the hospital. During the treatment, the patient did not have fever, cough and shortness of breath, and was treated with blood pressure. His wife is also expected to fully recover in the next few days. Director of the hospital Pham Nhu Hiep said: “After treatment, the patient has twice tested negative. Tests of two remaining patients are still positive but the virus load is reducing. We hope that these two patients will be discharged soon.”

So far, 58 among 207 Covid-19 patients in Vietnam have recovered.
