The recognition was part of the Returning to the Source of Pac Bo Village Festival, which included a ceremony to collect water from the historic Lenin stream in Ha Quang district. Pac Bo village is the place where President Ho Chi Minh entered in 1941, after a 30-year journey of national salvation.

Pham Xuan Tung, Chairman of the Ha Quang district People's Committee and head of the festival’s organizing board, said that Pac Bo Festival 2024 has drawn ethnic people from Ha Quang district and guests from Guangxi province, China.

“This year's festival has local support which will spread throughout Ha Quang district and Cao Bang province,” Tung noted.

The festival also featured a cow competition, a running race, and a photo exhibition of Nung Ven culture.
