(VOVWORLD) -Buon Ma Thuot, the "coffee capital of Vietnam", is promoting itself as a world-class coffee city as it hosted the five-day exciting festival, which closed on Thursday evening.

The festival, which included a digital content creation contest; a coffee and OCOP products fair; a coffee-making competition, and Buon Don elephant festival, attracted about 250,000 visitors, including 1,800 foreigners.
At the closing ceremony, Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee, said that the festival was a great success, contributing to the city’s goal of building “Buon Ma Thuot into a destination for world coffee”.
“The success is a strong motivation for us to make greater efforts in our journey towards the goal of building Dak Lak into a province of rapid development, wealth, and identity, creating a solid foundation to join the whole country to enter the "era of national rise". Vietnamese coffee products, especially the brand and geographical indication of Buon Ma Thuot Coffee, will continue to be promoted globally,” Van said.
