(VOVworld) – A seminar was held in Quang Ngai province on Tuesday to launch a Vietnam Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV)’s credit package worth 143 million USD to support fishermen in offshore fishing activities.

The bank has offered fishermen mobile capital every time they go fishing offshore, as well as support for ship-builders. Pham Quang Tung, deputy director of BIDV, said: "Our credit program will offer preferential loans at 0 to 3% to businesses that want to build or buy fishing vessels of iron or other new materials for offshore fishing and logistics work."
