Campaign launched to promote consumption of Vietnamese goods

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Goods Identification Program opened on Saturday as part of a series of activities to implement the Domestic Market Development Project associated with the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” in the 2021-2025 period.

Having operated for seven years, the Vietnamese Goods Identification Program launched by the Ministry of Industry and Trade highlights Vietnamese pride for locally made goods and the role and production capacity of Vietnamese enterprises.

Le Viet Nga, Deputy Director of the Domestic Market Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said, “In every situation, including the most difficult time for export, Vietnamese businesses can find their segment in the domestic market and are able to create a network of distribution and traditional business partners to cater to the market of 100 million Vietnamese people. The purchasing power of the domestic market needs to be further promoted with effective and practical stimulus programs suitable to the needs of Vietnamese people.”

The Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" has supported businesses to develop the market and meet people's consumer demand. The campaign has contributed to fulfilling economic targets, including controlling inflation and stabilizing the macroeconomy. Since 2009, the total annual turnover of retail goods and services has seen the annual growth of about 10%.
