(VOVworld) – On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2017, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sent his letter to congratulate the Vietnamese community in Canada.

In his letter, Trudeau said the Vietnamese community in Canada has made enormous contributions to make Canada a strong and diverse country.  The Canadian leader also showed his understanding about Vietnamese customs to celebrate the Lunar New Year. He called the Lunar New Year 2017 the Year of Fire Rooster and said Tết Nguyên Đán is an occasion for family and friends to get together and share special meals, and to reflect on the past year and welcome the New Year.
