Cao Lanh bridge inaugurated

(VOVWORLD) - A ceremony was held in Dong Thap province on Sunday to inaugurate Cao Lanh bridge and connect Cao Lanh bridge with Vam Cong bridge.

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung and Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop attended the event. In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh DInh Dung said: “The bridge is of great importance to the socio-economic development of Dong Thap province and the Mekong River Delta in general. It will contribute to improving competitive edge of the region and Vietnam’s economy as a whole.” The project on building the Cao Lanh bridge and the connection of Cao Lanh and Vam Cong bridge is funded with non-refundable aid of the Australian government, credits of the Asian Development Bank and counter capital of the Vietnamese government and has a total investment of 7.5 trillion VND.
