Ceremony held in Hanoi to honour Vietnamese teachers

President Truong Tan Sang made the remark at a Thursday ceremony in Hanoi to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20th) and honored outstanding teachers by conferring on them the title of People’s Teacher and Meritorious Teacher. Sang said:
“The Ministry of Education and Training should pay more attention to improving teachers’ and managers’ capacity. Teachers are urged to better themselves to become shining examples of ethics and knowledge and sources of inspiration for their students. Such teachers are an important factor in comprehensive education reform.”
President Sang conferred the title of People’s Teacher on 39 teachers and the title Emeritus Teacher to 680 teachers.
