China and France agree to strengthen cooperation in various fields

(VOVworld) - Premier Li Keqiang on Friday met with Laurent Fabius, French minister of foreign affairs and international development, who was in Beijing to attend the second meeting of the Sino-French high-level cultural exchange mechanism.

Premier Li said that the Sino-French strategic mutual trust has continued to deepen, and cooperation in various fields has progressed steadily. Li said that China is willing to plan high-level exchanges with France, promote expansion in third party markets, strengthen nuclear-energy cooperation, boost cooperation in trade, agriculture and aerospace, he said. China will also enhance communication and coordination in problems such as climate change and global economic management.

Fabius said that the consensus reached by the two sides when French Prime Minister Manuel Valls visited China at the beginning of the year is gradually being implemented. He added that France is happy with the current situation of Sino-French relations and is willing to strengthen cooperation in various fields.
