Within the dialogue, the two countries have agreed to continue improving trade and the investment environment, encouraging companies to increase mutual investment, and enhancing cooperation in infrastructure, energy conservation, and environmental protection. China and India have signed a memorandum on co-operation between relevant departments in sustainable urbanisation, IT, and energy research.
The meeting was chaired by Xu Shaoshi, head of China's National Development and Reform Commission, and Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Vice Chairman of the Planning Commission of India.
India hopes that bilateral trade turnover will reach 100 billion USD by 2015 and that the deficit will be reduced to a sustainable level by increasing Indian exports to China.
