(VOVworld)- The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Beijing on Friday, on the second leg of this three-day trip to China.

Earlier, at a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Xi'an on Thursday, both sides agreed on strengthening economic and trade relations while resolving border disputes.

At the meeting, Xi produced a four-point proposal for forging bilateral ties, including stepping up collaboration at regional and international forums, widening the room for economic, trade and investment relations through linking each others’ development strategies, cementing political trust and more effectively tackling border dispute, not letting disputes affect bilateral relations, and expanding exchanges at all levels.

Modi, for his part, said that India treasures relations with China and will do its utmost to develop political trust, promote strategic exchanges and relations with China in all areas while resolving differences with regard to border dispute between the two countries.

The Indian PM is scheduled to head to Shanghai to attend a trade promotion forum between India and China.
