China inks cooperation deals with Russia
At the close of the 17th regular China-Russia Inter-governmental Committee’s meeting, on Thursday the two sides signed a number of agreements on energy and trade, including an agreement to construct the second phase of a Nuclear Power Plant in China.

Under this agreement, Russia will provide China with a preferential loan of 2.5 billion USD to build a third set of generators by 2017. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said relations between China and Russia are currently in their best development period, with bilateral trade of 90 billion USD. Their goal is to expand bilateral trade to 100 billion USD by 2015 and 200 billion USD by 2020. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao highlighted the achievements of past cooperation.
