According to Xi Jinping, the visit showed that Laos values the Laos-China ties. He called on both sides to improve cooperation, increase high-level contact, maintain mutual trust, and expand exchanges. Xi Jinping said he hopes the two countries will continue coordinate in international affairs. Bounnhang said the visit will improve mutual trust and the new leadership of Laos will continue to promote friendly relations between the two countries. The two leaders witnessed the signing of a number of cooperative agreements.
