Chinese Premier visits Africa

(VOVworld) - Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Sunday started his visit to Ethiopia, the first leg of his weeklong tour of 4 African countries including Ethiopia, Nigeria, Angola, and Kenya. This is the first time for the premier to visit Africa since taking office in 2013. On this occasion, China is expected to sign a number of cooperative agreements on road, rail, and aviation transportation, and electricity with African countries.

Speaking to the press ahead of the visit, Premier Li Keqiang said that Sino-African relationship is developing rapidly in various fields and has entered its golden period. He added that China will continue its cooperation with Africa on the basis of equality and for mutual benefit. During his visit, Premier Li will discuss with leaders of Africa and African Union, as well as Chinese and African businesses experiences for development in new fields to improve bilateral comprehensive ties.
