Conference discusses expanding pig farming
(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development held a conference this week to discuss measures to promote pig farming.

As of March 10, Vietnam’s pig stocks stood at approximately 24 million, 74 percent of the number of pigs prior to the outbreak of African swine flu in 2018.
The number is expected to be back up to pre-swine flu levels by the end of the third quarter or the beginning of the fourth quarter.
The Ministry is exploring ways to expand the pig herds while ensuring that they will not suffer from diseases.
