Conference highlights investment opportunities for Belgian firms
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s economic and trade development and its investment advantages, were introduced to Belgian enterprises at a conference in Belgium’s southern Mons City on Wednesday.

Organizers were the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium, Hainaut province, and the Belgium-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce. Participants proposed measures to expand import-export activities between the two sides. Nguyen Canh Cuong, Vietnamese Trade Counsellor in Belgium, stressed that business opportunities are open in many areas for potential investors as the Vietnamese Government is in the process of signing a Free Trade Agreement with the EU. Hainaut province’s Governor Tommy Leclercq said that the province hopes to promote economic ties with Vietnam in import-export. He revealed that the province has planned to send a delegation to Vietnam in September or October this year to discuss cooperation possibilities.
