Countries concerned over North Korea’s H bomb test

(VOVworld) - North Korea says it has successfully carried out a hydrogen bomb test, which if confirmed, will be the 1st H bomb test and the 4th nuclear test prior to the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong-un later this week.

The US said it could take days to obtain scientific data to determine whether this test was successful and it will take appropriate response to all provocative acts. National Security Council Spokesperson Ned Price said the US denounces all violations of the UN Security Council’s resolutions.

The South Korean government criticized North Korea’s H bomb test and said it will take all necessary measures within the UN Security Council’s framework. South Korea’s National Security Council said Seoul will work closely with its allies to address this matter. South Korean military has been put on full alert and is closely following any development from North Korea.  

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe called the H bomb test a violation of the UN Security Council’s resolutions and a serious threat to Japan.
