(VOVWORLD) - Minister of Defense Ngo Xuan Lich highlighted the consolidated defence relations between Vietnam and France in recent years.

At a reception for French Ambassador to Vietnam Bertrand Lortholary in Hanoi on Tuesday, General Lich stressed Bertrand Lortholary the need to enhance collaboration and create a defense cooperation framework for the Vietnam-France Strategic Partnership.
General Lich said he hopes that Ambassador Lortholary will contribute to bilateral relations.
Lortholary said France always wants to promote defense relations with Vietnam and that he believes that the two countries will enlarge their cooperation areas.
