Deputy Defense Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh received in Hanoi yesterday a delegation of the US House of Representatives Armed Services Committee. The delegation was led by Congressman Joe Wilson, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Military Personnel. Vinh said he believes Mr. Wilson’s visit will make a positive contribution to cooperation between the two countries and he hopes that the congressman and his entourage will obtain good results during their visit. Congressman Wilson praised the Vietnamese Government and people’s effective cooperation in locating for US servicemen missing during the war. He said he hopes bilateral cooperation in overcoming the aftermath of the war will continue bringing benefit to both countries in the future. The Congressman affirmed that he will do his utmost in his capacity to contribute to boosting cooperation between the two countries.
