(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has called on relevant ministries and agencies to remove existing obstacles in order to speed up the progress of ODA projects.

At a meeting to review the use and management of ODA on Saturday, the Deputy Prime Minister said in the first half of this year, 2.25 billion USD worth of ODA and preferential loans were signed and about 3.2 billion USD worth of ODA and preferential loans were disbursed. Despite some improvements from the previous year but the disbursement and implementation of ODA and preferential credit projects were different in different localities and sectors. The participants discussed shortcomings in ODA management and use over the past time. Mr. Hai stressed the need to supervise programs and projects and promptly resolved obstacles to ensure that the projects are implemented as scheduled.
