(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh welcomed the visit by Deputy Secretary of Russian Security Council Lukianov Epgeni Vladimirovik, saying that this was a good opportunity for both sides to exchange views on bilateral cooperation.

While receiving the Russian guest in Hanoi on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister Minh was told that Vietnam was a trusted partner of Russia  and both will cooperate the implementation of national security and defense cooperation. Both will strengthen cooperation in international forums, especially the ASEAN, APEC and the United Nations for peace and development. Defense Minister Phung Quang Thanh also received the Russian official on Thursday.
