Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung receives Russian ambassador to Vietnam

(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung spoke highly of the role of Russian Embassy in implementing agreements reached between leaders of Vietnam and Russia.

While receiving Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Konstantin Vnukov on Tuesday, Mr. Dung said the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership was developing based on mutual trust and understanding. Political and trade ties have continuously developed with bilateral trade turnover reaching 1.3 billion USD, an increase of 40 percent in the first half of this year. The Vietnam- Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement has been approved by member countries and will take effect in October. The agreement is expected to expand Vietnam-Russia cooperation.

Ambassador Konstantin Vnukov said the Vietnam–Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement would be an important cooperative framework for member countries.
