(VOVworld) – Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump announced on Monday that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie would lead the transition team if he wins the presidential election in November.

Trump said in a press release that Governor Christie is extremely knowledgeable and has the tools and resources to put together an unparalleled transition team, one that will be prepared to take over the White House if he wins in November. Governor Christie said that he is looking forward to putting together a first-rate team to assemble an administration to help best serve the president-elect and the nation.

John Kasich and Ted Cruz both bowed out the race following Trump’s decisive victory in the Indiana primary.
