(VOVworld) - Egypt’s parliament met on Sunday for the first time in more than three years and elected a constitutional expert as its speaker. The new speaker is Ali Abdelaal, a French-educated lawyer and a Law Professor at Ain Shams University. The newly elected legislature has 15 days to approve hundreds of laws issued by executive decree during the period when it was suspended.
