(VOVworld) – The steering committee of the movement to call on Vietnamese people to prioritize made-in-Vietnam goods convened a meeting in Hanoi on Friday to discuss ways to increase the consumption in the domestic market.

Addressing the event, Nguyen Thien Nhan, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, said that when Vietnam signs a number of free trade agreements next year offering no more export duties, competitive pressure will be greater.

To deal with the situation, the steering committee plans to launch various activities including national programs to help identify made-in-Vietnam goods, promote trade, develop distribution networks, and survey commodities and services winning consumers’ trust.
