(VOVWORLD) -The Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups was held at Phin Ho commune stadium, Nam Po district, Dien Bien province, on Monday featuring ethnic cultural and sports activities, cooking and cuisine appreciation, folk games, and art exhibits.

The same day, the 2024 Lieng Nung Spring Festival opened at Bon N'Jrieng craft village, Dak Nong province. This festival, which will run until Tuesday, has attracted 400 artists to Gia Nghia city.
During the festival the M'Nong re-enact their “70 baskets of rice” ceremony – a long-standing custom to honor the rice provided by the gods.
The festival also includes a beauty pageant, a rice cooking contest, a wine contest, a brocade weaving contest, a knitting contest, and a display of typical agricultural products from each locality.
