EU begins FTA negotiation with Japan

EU Ministers of Trade agreed to start Free Trade Agreement negotiations with Japan, despite the opposition of European car markers. European Commissioner for Trade Karel De Gucht said a FTA could create 400 thousand jobs and is a “worthy economic rewards” with 43 billion USD contributing to European gross domestic product (GDP) in the context of raging public debt in Europe.
