EU imposes further sanctions on Iranian officials, entities

(VOVWORLD) -The European Union on Monday imposed restrictive measures on an additional five individuals and two entities in Iran.

The list includes the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Cooperative Foundation and the Student Basij Organization.

The individuals targeted include the commander of the Tehran Police Relief Unit, the spokesman of Iran’s Law Enforcement Command, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme Council of Cyberspace, and two other officials.

Restrictive measures consist of an asset freeze and a travel ban to the EU.

This is the 8th package of EU sanctions against Iran, bringing the total number of Iranian individuals, entities and agencies sanctioned by the EU to 160.
