150 dancers from around the world opened the ceremony with a dance called “The French Garden” under the up tempo version of Edith Piaf's 'La Vie En Rose'. French DJ David Guetta and Swedish singer Zara Larsson performed “This one’s for you”, the official song of Euro 2016. The ceremony concluded with aerobatics by the Patrouille de France jets ahead of the national anthems of the two teams.

This is the third time France has hosted the Euro. The French government has tightened security by deploying nearly 90,000 police and security officers, holding exercises, and spending millions of euro to set up cameras.
