Farmers in Mekong Delta join greenhouse gas emission reduction program
(VOVWORLD) - A conference was held in Can Tho city on Tuesday to launch a project to upgrade the rice value chain in response to climate change and toward sustainable development in the Mekong Delta, known as the TRVC project.

Nguyen Nhu Cuong, Director of the Cultivation Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, said: “The project will be implemented in An Giang, Kien Giang and Dong Thap provinces which are the key rice production areas in the region."
"It’ll create a model to replicate in production areas across the Delta," said Cuong, adding, "The involvement of the private sector in the project will further support the sustainable rice cultivation in the Mekong Delta and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.”
