(VOVworld) – On Sunday, leaders of the party, state, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and delegates to the 9th National Patriotic Emulation Congress paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum and laid floral wreaths at the Monument for Martyrs and Heroes.

A preparatory session for the congress and a program to honor outstanding individuals in the new rural development movement were held the same day.

On Saturday, the Fatherland Front organized a get-together of outstanding Vietnamese expatriates who returned home for the congress, where Nguyen Van Pha, the Front’s deputy President, reiterated that the VFF will do the utmost to meet aspirations of overseas Vietnamese.
