The fire occurred on July 2 at the Natanz uranium enrichment plant in an industrial shed under construction.

There were no fatalities or concerns about radioactive contamination because the complex is no longer active.

The following day, Iran's Supreme National Security Council announced that it knew what caused the incident at Natanz but withheld details for security reasons.
