(VOVWORLD) -Spectacular fireworks displays lit up the opening night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2024) along the romantic Han River in Da Nang city on Saturday.

Defending champions France and the host team Vietnam set off magnificent fireworks in the evening sky along with unique stage art performances from domestic and international artists.
This year’s festival is themed “Made in Unity – Global Connection – Radiance on Five Continents”.
Team Vietnam’s performance of fireworks combined with color and sound effects to evoke strong emotions. Their show’s three chapters – ‘Sky Lanterns’, ‘Humanity Harmony’ and ‘National Prosperity’” – depicted the theme ‘Sky Dance’ over a timeframe of 21 minutes and 45 seconds.
The French team’s performance, titled “Dragon Dance”, drew inspiration from Da Nang’s Dragon Bridge, symbolizing majesty, youth, and power. Their show featured a dragon spewing colors and emotions representing love and courage. Established in 2013, the ArtEventia team is the defending champion from DIFF 2023.
Da Nang International Fireworks Festival will run through July 13, featuring five nights of fireworks competitions between the host team Da Nang-Vietnam and seven international teams from France, Italy, the US, Germany, Poland, China, and Finland.
