Foreign ship arrivals down 6% in first two months

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s seaports have received 4,900 foreign vessels over the last two months, down 6% from last year, according to the Vietnam Marine Administration.

The decline was primarily due to COVID-19, which has severely disrupted the transport sector, says the administration.

Despite the lower number of foreign ships, the volume of imported goods grew 14%, to more than 35 million tons.
