Business representatives and experts focused on strengthening linkages for financial services and technology, experience sharing in digital technology investment, and recommendations for Vietnam.
Yves Vanderstraeten of the EuroCham Digital Sector Committee said Vietnam has a great potential to attract semiconductor companies when it comes to attracting semiconductor companies.
“The major hubs today are South Korea and Taiwan, which already have decades of advancement in terms of workforce and technology. But now we see that Vietnam wants to close the gap with these hubs. The plan is to have a workforce ready by 2030,” said Vanderstraeten.
He expressed his belief that by the time to 2030 Vietnam will have a very extensive workforce that’s ready to work in the semiconductor industry with the knowledge required.
“I believe that from an economic infrastructure point of view Vietnam is ready to meet the demands of the semiconductor industry,” noted Vanderstraeten.
The International Digital Investment Forum 2024 is part of the Vietnam International Digital Week jointly organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Quang Ninh provincial People's Committee, which will continue through Friday.
