(VOVworld) - French President Francois Hollande urged Europe Tuesday to go much further in tackling the migrant crisis after a series of deadly disasters in the Mediterranean. Ahead of an emergency meeting following a shipwreck in the Mediterranean that left 800 people dead, Hollande stressed that the European summit on Thursday cannot be an ordinary summit. He asked European countries to strengthen measures to resolve the migrant crisis, which is unacceptable politicallyand humanitarily. He also called for increased surveillance in the Mediterranean.
