French, Vietnamese localities bolster cooperation
(VOVworld) - French Senator Christian Favier, Chairman of the Val-de-Marne provincial Council has urged Val-de Marne and Vietnam’s Yen Bai province to boost tourism and trade cooperation. At a meeting with visiting Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong on Friday, Christian Favier hailed the cooperation between Val-de-Marne and northern Yen Bai province, particularly in healthcare, environmental hygiene and culture. Mr. Favier suggested the two sides should focus on tourism and trade cooperation.

Ms. Phong proposed the two sides share experiences in local administration management and expressed her desire to boost tea exports to Val-de-Marne. She also asked Val-de-Marne province to assist Yen Bai and northwestern mountain provinces in developing education and health care. Earlier, the Vietnamese delegation visited the Valenton waste water treatment plant in Val-de-Marne province.
