(VOVworld) – Minister of National Defense General Phung Quang Thanh received Republic of Korea ambassador to Vietnam Chon De Chu in Hanoi on Thursday.

General Thanh said strategic cooperation between the two countries has developed steadily in recent years, particularly in politics, diplomacy, economics, and people-to-people exchanges. He added that Vietnam’s National Defense Ministry will consider cooperation with the Republic of Korea in a number of areas of the defense industry.
The Korean ambassador said that Korea considers strategic cooperation with Vietnam, particularly in national defense, a top priority. He promised to do his best to promote this relationship to match each country’s potential.
