The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (FOPC) issued the warning on Wednesday. Thomas de Maiziere, German Minister for Internal Affairs, said the right wing party has been trying to sabotage Germany’s friendship with foreign people by threatening and attacking them. According to FOPC statistics, attacks against foreigners increased 20.4% last year and there is a rising danger of terrorist acts from Islamic extremists who return to Europe from Syria and Iraq. FOPC data also revealed that since the beginning of the civil war in Syria, 320 German Islamists have gone to Syria to participate in the hostilities.
