Get-together marks 65th anniversary of Moncada Barracks attack
(VOVWORLD) -A gathering took place in the southern province of Ba Ria–Vung Tau to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the attack on the Moncada Barracks.
The event was hosted by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) and the Vietnam – Cuba Friendship Organization in the province. Cuban Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Indira Lopez Arguelelles said the gathering has increased mutual understanding and strengthened the brotherhood between Vietnam and Cuba. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dang Minh Thong said the two nations have always stood side by side in the struggle for national independence, freedom and happiness of their people.
