Global COVID-19 infections exceed 251 million

(VOVWORLD) - As of Tuesday afternoon, there had been more than 251 million COVID-19 infections and 5.1 million deaths globally, according to worldometers.info.

The US, India, and Brazil have been the hardest-hit countries with 47.4 million, 34.3 million, and 21.8 million cases respectively.

The Indonesian government on Monday decided to extend its community activities restrictions for two more weeks, until November 22, except for Java and Bali.

Though still in the midst of complex coalition negotiations, the three parties that will probably make up Germany's next government have begun framing new rules to curb the coronavirus pandemic. They have been forced into action as Germany saw its highest 7-day infection rate since the pandemic began.
