(VOVworld)- The government held its regular February meeting in Hanoi on Monday under Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s chair.

The cabinet members discussed the socio-economic situation in February and the first two months of this year. In his address, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung stressed that administrative reform, and the improvement of the business environment for increased national competitive edge were vital moves for effective and sustainable growth. Prime Minister Dung said:“Everyone has to participate in the market economy and has to implement the rules of the market economy. Prices and resources are decided by the market. The market must be transparent and fair. With a socialist orientation, the state will use its policies, tools and resources to regulate distribution and re-distribution, ensure cultural development and social equality, reduce poverty, and improve social welfare and people’s lives”.
