(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Saturday reiterated the government’s resolve to pursue a comprehensive and effective digital transformation revolution as he addressed an event marking National Digital Transformation Day 2024, in Hanoi.

The PM, who is also Chairman of the National Committee for Digital Transformation, said digital transformation is an inevitable trend, an objective need, a strategic choice, and a top priority for rapid and sustainable development. It contributes to realizing the aspiration of building a strong, prosperous country, with happy people, leaving no one behind in the new era of national rise, he said. Vietnam is on the right track by focusing on promoting digital transformation, green transformation, and infrastructure development.
According to the Prime Minister, this year is the third consecutive year that Vietnam has organized a program to celebrate National Digital Transformation Day. This important event demonstrates the determination of the Party, State, political system, business community and people to join hands in digital transformation, developing the digital economy, digital society, and digital citizenship.
PM Chinh pointed out three breakthroughs in digital transformation, including digital institutions, digital infrastructure and digital people, which he said require active participation of leaders at all levels, and there must be no shortage of electricity or telecoms signals, especially in remote areas.
