Officials made a positive report that ministries, sectors, and localities took care of people’s material and spiritual lives and ensured a full supply of Tet goods. Tourism continued to flourish and many construction sites and factories maintained their normal activities throughout the holiday to speed up economic growth.

While applauding the ministries, sectors, localities, agencies, and relevant units’ good performance during Tet, PM Chinh in particular showed his approval for the people who stayed on duty to safeguard national independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the country’s borders. This included all workers who guaranteed political stability and social order and safety, cared for people’s health, and kept the environment clean.

The PM said: "Under the leadership of the Party, led by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, and thanks to support from the National Assembly, the entire political system including people, businesses, and international friends, helped the Government organize a happy, healthy, safe, economical, and sentimental Tết for the people.”

He issued a directive from the Prime Minister’s office to immediately promote the implementation of post-Tet tasks. The Government leader asked for a continued effort to step up production and business activities, to create jobs and livelihoods for people, and to ensure social security. The PM ordered post‑Tet festivals to be held in a safe and civilized manner that focuses on the national identity, public health care, and communications designed to fight distortions and to defeat allegations made by hostile forces.

In addition, he told ministries, sectors, and localities to coordinate closely and effectively to tackle difficulties facing people and businesses while pressing on with the perfection of regulations, mechanisms, and policies to mobilize every resource for national development. The same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with the staff of the Government Office and visited farmers in Hai Duong province.
