Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen inspects COVID-19 safety measures at the health clinic in Tu Cuong commune, Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong province.

Tuyen, who is also Deputy Head of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, asked Hai Duong province to continue all COVID-19 precautions, monitor foreigners who come to Hai Duong to or work, and confirm the safety of hotels and guest houses used as quarantine facilities. The Deputy Minister demanded that local authorities closely monitor suspected cases and prepare for a possible coronavirus resurgence.  

“Vaccination should begin as soon as possible as it takes time to produce the antibodies. I want local authorities to obey instructions on vaccine delivery, preservation, and use. Pre-injection screening is needed. Health workers involved in the immunization campaign should attend training courses. I advise each province-level and district-level hospital to assign an emergency team to respond to incidents that may occur at vaccination stations,” according to Tuyen.
