National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, Minister of Public Security General To Lam, and Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai attended the ceremony to announce the recognition. In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung said the recognition marked a milestone in Hai Duong’s development. He urged the city to continue its tradition and promote innovation and creativity to boost the local socio-economic development. A cultural festival under the theme “Light of the Eastern City” was launched after the ceremony.
