(VOVworld)- Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc today/Thursday attended a ceremony to welcome in the new academic year and conferred the Independence Order First Class to the Hanoi Foreign Trade University. In his address, the Deputy Prime Minister praised the University’s achievements in recent years. He stressed the need to focus on improving the quality of teachers, and teaching and learning standards to turn the university into a center for top quality training and Vietnam’s leading economic research center. "The university has carried out several joint cooperation programs with other university overseas. This has contributed to increasing the quality of our training to meet the country’s demands of international integration. However, it’s important to select prestigious partners for cooperation in training and to strengthen its management in line with the state’s regulations in terms of training quality and financial mechanisms", said Mr. Phuc.
