Hanoi to celebrate South Africa’s Freedom Day
(VOVworld) - The South African Embassy will host a ceremony and art performance in Hanoi on April 27 to mark the country’s 20th Freedom Day. At a press briefing in Hanoi on Monday, Ambassador Kgomotso Ruth Magau expressed the pride of South African people, who struggled continuously for national liberation and have since gained a wealth of significant achievements. She said her country had established close friendship with Vietnam since the 1950s. Both countries are experiencing economic restructuring to improve the living conditions of their people. Magau noted that the two countries had gone to great lengths to strengthen friendship and cooperation in potential fields, especially trade and industry. She stressed that Vietnam was considered an important trade partner for South Africa in Asia.
